VIP-CL Silica Kaolin

VIP-CL is a finely processed silica–kaolin material obtained through wet processing and separation of the fine mineral fraction from silica. It is offered for formulation trials where controlled fineness and the reported chemical composition may be useful.

Wet processing
During wet processing, the fine mineral fraction is separated from coarser silica particles and collected through sedimentation. This produces a fine material for ceramic body formulation trials.

VIP-CL may be evaluated in porcelain and ceramic tile bodies, other ceramic formulations and selected technical ceramic applications. The K2O content may contribute to fluxing behavior during firing; actual performance depends on the complete body formulation and firing conditions.
