Additives & Chemicals for FRP/GRP
VIP Global Co. supplies selected additives and processing chemicals for fiberglass and composite manufacturers, with a focus on reliable quality, suitable specifications and competitive regional supply.
Our range includes cobalt accelerators, MEKP curing catalysts, fumed silica (Aerosil-type thixotropic additives), polyester/PET process films and other selected materials used in FRP/GRP production.

Cobalt Accelerator 6% & 10% for Polyester Resin
Cobalt accelerators are widely used in the FRP/GRP industry to promote the curing of unsaturated polyester resins (UPR) and gelcoats in combination with organic peroxide initiators such as MEKP. They are typically supplied as low-viscosity blue-to-violet liquids, depending on the cobalt chemistry and solvent system.
Cobalt 6%
Contains approximately 6% cobalt metal. It is a widely used concentration for general FRP production and offers convenient dosing for many workshop and industrial applications.
Cobalt 10%
Contains approximately 10% cobalt metal. Because it is more concentrated, a lower addition level is required to achieve the same cobalt-metal concentration in the resin system.
MEKP Catalyst / Curing Agent
MEKP (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide) is a widely used organic-peroxide curing agent for promoted unsaturated polyester resin systems. In room-temperature FRP production it is commonly used together with a compatible cobalt accelerator, with the exact dosage determined by the resin system, temperature and target gel time.
Fumed Silica (Aerosil-Type)
Fumed silica is widely used as a thixotropic and rheology-control additive in polyester and vinyl ester systems. It helps increase viscosity at rest, reduce sagging and dripping, improve filler suspension and support better application of laminating resins, gelcoats and bonding pastes.
Polyester / PET Process Film
Polyester (PET) film is used in a range of composite and industrial processing applications where a clean, strong and dimensionally stable film is required. Depending on the grade, it can be used as a process film, release liner, separation film or protective film during manufacturing, lamination and storage.
Typical FRP Applications
GRP Pipes & Tanks
For controlled curing of polyester laminates used in water, industrial and chemical-service equipment.
Hand Lay-Up & Spray-Up
Suitable for general fiberglass fabrication where predictable gel time and cure response are required.
Gelcoat & Topcoat
Used as an accelerator in compatible gelcoat systems according to the resin or gelcoat supplier’s formulation.
Tools, Moulds & Castings
Used in unsaturated polyester systems for composite tooling, casting resins and fiber-reinforced parts.
Regional Supply by VIP Global Co.
VIP Global Co. is ready to supply key additives and process materials for fiberglass and composite manufacturers across the Middle East and neighbouring markets, including Cobalt Accelerator 6% & 10%, MEKP catalysts, fumed silica and polyester/PET films.
For the most suitable offer, please send us the required product, grade or concentration, resin or manufacturing process, expected consumption, preferred packaging and delivery destination. TDS/SDS and product specifications can be provided according to the selected supply source.
Handling & Safety
Cobalt accelerator and organic peroxide initiators must be handled according to the supplier’s current TDS/SDS and applicable safety procedures. Concentrated cobalt accelerator should never be mixed directly with MEKP or another organic peroxide. Each component should be added to the resin separately and thoroughly dispersed according to the approved formulation.
