Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat
Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat (CSM) is made from randomly distributed chopped glass fibers held together with a compatible binder. It wets out readily with polyester and vinyl ester resins and conforms well to complex mould shapes. CSM is commonly used in hand lay-up and moulding processes for tanks, pipes, panels, automotive parts and general FRP components where uniform reinforcement and economical laminate build-up are required. Available specifications should be selected according to the resin system, process and final mechanical requirements.
