GRP Pipe Coupling Gaskets

VIP Global Co. supplies sealing gaskets for GRP pipe coupling systems, with EPDM as the primary and most commonly supplied material.

Our GRP coupling gaskets are available across a wide diameter range and can be matched to different coupling and groove designs based on the customer’s technical drawing or gasket cross-section.

Available Sizes

Our standard GRP coupling gasket range covers:

DN300 to DN3200

Nominal sizes increase in 100 mm increments across this range.

Primary Material: EPDM

EPDM is the main material used for these gaskets. It is widely selected for GRP water, wastewater, irrigation, and infrastructure piping systems because of its resistance to water, weathering, ozone, and aging.

Other elastomer compounds can also be considered when specifically required by the customer or project specification.

Moulded Gaskets — DN300 to DN1200

GRP coupling gaskets from DN300 up to and including DN1200 are produced as moulded gaskets.

VIP Global has access to existing moulds for most commonly used GRP gasket profiles. When the required profile matches an available mould, the customer can avoid the additional cost and lead time associated with manufacturing a new mould.

Extruded & Spliced Gaskets — Above DN1200

For sizes above DN1200, the gasket profile is produced by extrusion, cut to the required circumference, and then spliced into a continuous ring.

The joining method is selected according to the gasket profile, material, and production requirements.

Most Common Profiles Already Tooled

One of our key supply advantages is the availability of moulds for most commonly used GRP coupling gasket profiles.

  • No new mould cost when a matching mould is already available
  • No tooling-development waiting time for matching profiles
  • Faster technical confirmation and order processing
  • Suitable for repeat and project-based orders

Different Couplings Require Different Profiles

The nominal pipe diameter alone is not sufficient to select the correct GRP gasket. Different pipe and coupling systems may use different groove dimensions, gasket cross-sections, and joint geometries.

For this reason, the customer’s technical drawing or gasket cross-section is used as the primary reference for matching the correct profile.

Easy Ordering Process

Send us your gasket drawing or cross-sectional profile together with the required size and quantity. We will check it against the available moulds and production options.

When a matching mould is already available, production can proceed without the cost and delay of new mould development. If a different material is required instead of EPDM, it can be reviewed according to the project specification.
